Dr Richard Wise is an AHPRA-endorsed clinical psychologist and Psychology Board of Australia board-approved supervisor.
He is the Director of Wellbeing Services at University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and the Clinical Director at Wise Psychology.

Assessment and Intervention for Mental Health
Dr Wise provides psychological assessment and intervention for adults and young adults experiencing mental health conditions. He has experience assisting with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, substance use issues, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. -
Understanding Your Situation
Dr Wise uses psychological principles to clarify his client’s situation and explore a range of contributing factors. The assessment typically explores the intersection of the individual’s life history, psychological development, relationship patterns, personality, interpersonal systems, and other relevant factors.
Assessment usually occurs across the first few sessions and may involve formal assessment measures such as questionnaires.

Working Together to meet emotional needs
The next step is to create a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship. This includes developing a mutual understanding of the distress and exploring different ways to respond to it. The goal of these sessions is psychological growth to assist with the meeting of core emotional needs.
Because people and the times we live in are both complex, this may require a substantial investment of the client’s time and effort.
Supervision
Guidance for Psychologists and Counsellors
Dr Wise is available to supervise registered psychologists in both their day-to-day clinical work and the establishment of private practice. He has a particular interest in development of clinical governance and client engagement.
He has proven experience developing systems and organisational structures within psychology clinics, and is skilled in establishing robust, compliant, safe, and sustainable clinical procedures.

Dr Wise currently offers online appointments for your convenience. Online sessions are conducted via a secure, purpose-built platform. Once you schedule an appointment, you’ll receive reminders and a session link by email and SMS, typically two days before your appointment.
